GENERAL INFO

When you start planning your hunting trip to Spain there are a few things we consider important for you to know in advance such as:

Duration of the hunt

The areas we manage have a very high density of animals, but just to make sure and as we don’t have any control on the weather, we recommend counting on a 2-3 days per trophy. In case you go for a Grand Slam Spanish ibex we suggest a 10-12 days trip. If you finish your hunt early you can always enjoy spending some time sightseeing.

Weather conditions

Spain’s climate is generally mild even in most of the hunting areas. Late November and December the temperature goes a little bit down especially during morning and night. But sometimes we’ve had spring temperatures in the middle of December, so we recommend you to contact us and we will inform you about the real weather conditions we will expect during your hunt trip.

Traveling with firearms

In order to bring your gun to Spain, the Spanish authorities require a Certificate from the Spanish Consulate in your country in Spanish language. You can apply for it at the Spanish Consulate of your State (www.maec.es) and tell them you are going to hunt in Spain. You will have to send them a copy of your passport, a copy of your hunting license in the USA and your gun details you are planning to use in Spain (brand, caliber, serial number).

When you arrive at the airport, you have to collect your luggage, cross Customs and go through the sliding doors where a member of our staff will be waiting for you and help you with all the procedures both at your arrival and your departure.

If you want to avoid all these procedures and make your trip more relaxed without headaches we can provide a suitable rifle here.

Recommended calibers: 7mm Rem. Mag., 300, 270, 30-06 or similar.

If you are a bow hunter, you don’t need any special permit.

Packing list

This is a short list of gear that we would recommend for your hunting trip to Spain. Check the weather forecast before your departure to make sure of what you need to bring. We always suggest in case of doubt bring a heavier coat, because the weather in the mountains can change from one hour to another.

Documents: Passport, Firearms declaration, Airline tickets, Itinerary, money (it is always good to bring some cash Euros or Dollars).

Gadgets: Binoculars, range finder, headlamp.
